I strongly believe that the blog content consists of two equally important parts – author's input (through the posts) and readers' input (through the comments).
And so I decided to try to boost the second part a little bit and I need your help here.
This post will stay on top since now and I am asking you to write in comments to this post anything you will be interested to read about in this blog.
It can be a request to explain some AX 2012 feature, suggestion of the topic\tip\trick that might be interesting to others, bug report, … basically anything. And I will be replying to that with posts.

I have a customer where the Active Directory just crashed, so they reinstalled AD from the scratct and re-created the users. However, the DAX client is not able to connect to the server.
Do you know if there is a way to 'refresh' the user database in AX or some data that one could update in the db regarding users so that the instance is usable again using the new AD?
Any help appreciated.

Have you ever experienced the case when creating a new table that the "CreateRecIdIndex" property is not selectable?
ReplyDeleteWell, that really depends on the RecId usage. In AX 2012 it is the best practice to use RecId as a primary key on tables, thus it makes sense to enable RecId index. But if you have a good reason to use another field as a primary key, then RecId index is probably not needed.
